Betula alleghaniensis (Yellow birch): Fruit
		Fruits are tiny, narrowly-winged nutlets borne on hairy, 3-lobed bracts in broad, erect, short-stalked, conelike catkins. The catkin axis and scales often persist on the tree into winter.
